April 9 Newsletter
ISASP is done! Have not seen the kids happier than after the test today that they could put the testing behind them for another year! Extra brain breaks and recesses were necessary this week! Next week we will get back on track with LARS, spelling tests...
We have had a lot of fun in Science this week! We are learning about motion, what changes motion, standard and variables. We created wheel and axle creations and sent them down ramps and twirly birds that we dropped from the air to see their motion, some of these even went to recess and were dropped from the top of the jungle gym and play equipment!
In Social Studies we are "coming into Ellis Island!" We are discussing where immigrants are coming from, what their ship environments were like and what processes they had to go through once they arrived at Ellis Island! The kids are pretty happy they were born and raised here!
Reminder: Fr. needed to change mass for next week, so our school mass will be on Tuesday instead of Wednesday which also changes our pride days next week to Tuesday and Friday instead of Wednesday and Friday.
Everyone have a great weekend!
